“When I painted ‘Reflected Sky,’ I was completely captivated by how the sky puts on this incredible show, and then the water just becomes a perfect mirror of it. It’s that moment when the vibrant purples, fiery oranges, and soft blues in the clouds aren’t just overhead, but they’re alive down below too, blurring the line between heaven and earth. I wanted to capture that immersive feeling – like you’re standing right there, surrounded by all that intense, shifting color, with the mountains watching silently. For me, it’s about the pure magic of light transforming everything, making the ordinary feel extraordinary, and showing how the world above is truly reflected in the world below.”

Awaited Light
Awaited Light is more than just a painting — it is a personal resurrection. For over two decades, I dreamed of returning to the canvas, of feeling the brush in my hand again, and of letting color speak through me. This painting became that turning point.
While the idea for this composition was inspired by another artist’s work, I reimagined it through my own vision to reflect something deeply personal. It became not a copy, but a quiet conversation between their inspiration and my rediscovery.
Set in a glowing forest, with sunlight breaking gently through the trees, Awaited Light reflects a moment I thought might never come. It reminded me that I can still paint, still mix colors, and still create beauty.
