Autumn Fire

When I painted “Autumn Fire,” I was really chasing that intense, almost magical feeling you get in autumn when the leaves just explode with color. I wanted those reds and oranges to feel incredibly vibrant, almost like they’re on fire, especially against the cool, mysterious blues and violets in the background. It’s that moment when the forest feels a bit ethereal, a little misty, but utterly alive with passion.

I used those impressionistic strokes to give the foliage a real sense of movement and texture – as if you can almost feel the individual leaves dancing. The slender, dark trunks were essential to ground the piece and emphasize the glowing color above. For me, it’s about capturing not just the visual beauty of fall, but that profound atmosphere of fleeting, intense color before winter arrives.
